3I have been a big fan of jar lighting for along time. When I did my daughter's college graduation celebration in our backyard we had all sorts of jars with tea lights in them hanging and setting around. It was so pretty. I'd show pictures, but I'd have to go searching somewhere for them...it was a few years ago. I don't even think they are on a disk anymore.
Now I want to go looking. :)
anyway,When I saw this picture I just fell in love with it. It's so romantic and yet very simple. It is from Apartment Therapy.
As usual I had to go searching for more jar lighting.
This is what I found at Martha Stewart.
And this is from Design Sponge. A Backyard Wedding gives a great tutorial on how to add the wire to the jars.
Who says jars are just for canning??? I don't even know how to can anyway. :)
I love jar lighting and am planning to do some on Friday evening. We are planning an Italian style dinner party. We thought it would stay light for a long time and we can relax and sit around and enjoy the evening and the food and whatnot. I bought a box of what I thought was three votives, the scent was Tuscan something. I grabbed three auart jars, but then when I opened the box of candles it turned out to be six tea lights. I guess I'll have to grab three more quart jars and make it work. I suppose I could save the other three for the next time.
ReplyDeleteNow I am babbling, but I will share photos on my fb when I get them. Looking forward to the par-tay!
