Rehearsal Supper

Here are the centerpieces I put together for the Rehearsal Supper this past weekend.
The bride had posted the story of when they first met in person and I took that story,
divided it up into 5 sections and did a centerpiece based on each bit of the story.

Here's the story and pictures of the centerpieces.

It was July 2, 2006. I was all dolled up and sitting on a bench in the Minneapolis-Hector International Airport.
Thud, thud, thud! My heart was racing, my palms were sweaty, and I could feel the butterflies tickling my stomach.
I held two lattes from Starbucks in my trembling hands. "How will I even know what he looks like?" I thought to myself over and over. I was waiting for a friend (or that's what we labeled ourselves as) of mine that I had never met. My best friend Camille introduced us through the phone but we had never actually met. All in all, it was an awkward situation. I had no clue what I was doing, and what was to become of this "friend". "Would he be a creeper or a decent guy?" I thought to myself.
As I wait in anticipation, I slowly turned to my right. Time stopped. It was like there was no one else in the airport. It was like there was no one else in the world. I immediately knew that the gorgeous brown hair and big saucer shaped eyes belonged to Justin . Clank, clank, clank! The sound of my pink sparkly high heels walking on the granite echoed throughout the terminal. I approached him rather fast, and immediately began jabbering. I was talking so much because he was just staring at me. "Is he mute?" I secretly wondered. "Where is the guy I knew on the phone?" I thought.
He handed me a bouquet of roses and we began to talk-rather awkwardly i might add. We talked so much that we missed the announcement of where his luggage was going. We had to ask a man what the announcer said, and he stated "You guys act like you're in love or something". And we were in love -from that day in the airport ,until now, and forever.

I made the photo cubes using Tabblo. They were VERY easy to make! I did a post on them here.

I also wrapped cream colored forks in navy blue napkins and sealed them with a brown strip of paper and a label I specially designed with the bride and grooms name on it.
~ didn't get pictures of them though :(

Here is a picture of the bride and groom though....

  2. That is such a sweet story. It would be cute to also add the grooms version of the first time they met.
