We had several ideas (this post) for the cupcake display at the wedding and this is what we settled on. 
The tiers are acrylic and were rented from a Cake store.
The very first layer and what the tiers are setting on are little votives I bought at Walmart and they are filled with a battery operated tea lights.
I loved the look of the candles under the cupcakes.
It made the display go even better with all the candlelight at the reception.
The cupcakes were made by the brides' high school friend and my daughter helped with the decorating.
This poor friend made at least a dozen different recipes for the cakes/frosting I think!
She did good though.....they were so yummy!
