Friday Food {Invisible Pops}

If you hurry you still have time to make these for Halloween.
They would certainly be better than any lollipop you buy at the store! :)
Just think of all the cool things you could put in these to make them unique.

Here is the ingredient list

Makes 1 dozen

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • Assorted candies and seeds, such as red and black licorice whips, candy corn, and pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds)
and here is the link to Martha's site for directions.

This one from paperglitter on Etsy is so very cute.
And she has some other ones too that are just as cute.
There is also a Halloween printable package if you haven't yet finished up all your Halloween party things.

Wednesday's Parties {Quack Quack}

I'm in love with this party!
I'm even wondering if I haven't already done a post about it.
Hmmm...I checked, but I don't think so.
Sorry if it's a re-post....it's so incredibly cute, don't ya think? :)
Typically ducks make me think of baby shower or maybe part of a farm party,
but not this duck party.
It's all girl and all pretty.
Lots of inspiration to gain from this board. Visit Alannah Rose for even more!

Tuesday's DIY/Tutorials {Chandelier}

Once again I have come across a chandelier {a favorite party item of mine}.
Although I do not get into Halloween I thought this chandelier needed to be shared.
It could easily be changed to fit any party decor.
Bats are not needed to make this chandelier a spectacular piece. :)

Ingredients:
Black Cardstock
Bat punch or die-cut
Black Beads
Fishing Line
3 embroidery hoops (we used 14", 10" and 6")
Black Paint
Tulle
Glue Dots

Instructions:
Cut or punch 40 bats from black cardstock.
Run a 15" piece of fishing line through a black bead and tie in a knot in center of line.
Fold line in half and secure two bats together with line between using a glue dot.
Fold bat wings outward to create dimension.
Tie fishing line with bats to each embroidery hoop.
Tie hoops together with 4 pieces of tulle.
Tie tulle at top for hanging

The tutorial in making this was found on Heartlandpaper.

Friday Food {Crunchy Frogs}

While I find this treat a bit unusual,
it is interesting enough to make me want to post about and even...um........make them!! :)

I just want to put one of these into my mouth and see
1. What it tastes like and
2. What it the crunchiness feels like and
3
. If it will really seem like eating a frog
(but I might not know the difference, since I have never eaten a real frog) :)

The ingredients.....
gummy frogs
pop rocks
chocolate chips

Anyway...this is certainly something to give a try...I think anyway.
Let me know if any of you do try them.
