Creative Jewish Mom has a fabulous Cherry Blossom garland made from......disposable tablecloths.
I love it when people find other uses for things.
It shows alot of creativity.
And of course, I love this because it IS garland. :)

Speaking of Parties....I'm gearing up for a Roaring 20's party Thanksgiving weekend.

Sip & See???

I have been seeing baby showers with the theme of "Sip & See" and at first it was kind of weird to me, but that didn't last long once I figured it all out. :)
"The “Sip & See” trend is gaining some serious momentum. Typically held 2-6 weeks after the baby arrives (open-house style with a time frame of 3-4 hours for guests to drop by as they please), the mid-afternoon shindigs are often held in lieu of a baby shower. We love them for their efficiency: invite everyone over all at once to see the baby, so your home doesn’t feel like a revolving door of visitors during those already stressful just-home-from-the-hospital weeks." taken from stroller traffic.
Great idea!
Hostess with the Mostess did a feature on this very thing adding a bit of sparkly to it. :)
Stroller traffic has a great article on this topic...check it out, if you are interested.

Chris from Celebrations at Home just did a fantastic Sip & See shower and she has a post on it today. It's a sailor/nautical theme and it's worth a trip to her blog to see. :)

Cow themed baby shower.

I helped a co-worker put together a Baby Shower for her daughter.
Since they are farmers I thought a cow theme would be fitting.
I did not attend the shower so I do not have photos from the actual shower but here are some of the things I put together for it.
The plates, napkins and forks...
little pails with tag attached. I had originally put milk duds candy in the pails and decided it didn't look right so we went with stick pretzels to look more like hay.
Much more appetizing than milk duds which looked liked....well, you know. :)
one of the tables. helium balloons were added to each centerpiece...
confetti...
the bowl for fruit salad....like the cow bandanna?
and the banner at the head table...

Bubbly Ducky Baby Shower

I think this shower theme is just the cutest! Although the ducky theme is nothing new to the baby shower themes, this one seems to add some unique touches to it, which I like. :)
The table setting:
It's fresh, clean and simple. Aqua, white and sunny yellow. Little blue gems have been hot glued to the chargers (easy to remove).

The centerpieces:
A fish bowl, of course! But did you notice first of all it's platform? A simple clear glass or acrylic dish will do. And inside that bowl....Various sizes of Styrofoam ball and clear glass bubbles!

The ceiling decor (gotta hang something!!):
Those same styrofoam and clear glass balls hung from fishing line. Perfect. :)
This party is from Better Homes and Gardens. They have several party themes posted.
Great ideas.

Pink Noah's Ark Baby Shower

A few pictures of the Baby Shower I am working on.
It's for a girl and the theme is Noah's Ark. They want PINK, PINK, PINK. I wondered how I was going to work with so much pink in Noah's Ark. I think of Browns and blues when I think of Noah's Ark. The party ware that was purchased did have some pink in it....so I was able to work with it and I actually think it's looking very nice with all the pink.
Vases (same ones used at Graduation) this time filled with Animal Crackers

A table setting...Tablecloths will be white

Little favor bags filled with Animal Crackers
